Well Driven is a road safety risk management scheme, ideal for both small and large companies. We encourage
those who take their driver safety seriously and are keen to reduce maintenance and running costs, with the
added benefit of obtaining competitive insurance premiums to join the scheme.
History
The Well Driven scheme was established in 1996 by the Road Haulage Association (RHA) and the Freight Transport
Association (FTA), with the objective of promoting high standards of driving, maintenance and consideration
for other road users.
As part of the continuing development of the Well Driven scheme, in 2015 the decision was taken to explore
external organisations who have the sustainable capabilities and ethos to take over responsibility. Since
then, the How's My Driving? group have worked alongside the FTA and it's members to continue to develop and
manage the road safety scheme with great success.
